Review Process

Arca’s Board of Directors meets twice a year. The Arca Foundation approves grants at its semiannual Board meetings, usually held in June and December of each year. Proposal deadlines are 5:00 pm on March 1 and September 1 for the spring and fall cycles, respectively. Out-of-cycle and emergency proposals are not considered unless solicited by the Foundation. When deadlines fall on a weekend or holiday, the deadline will be the following business day at 4:00 pm. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.

Applicants will receive an email notifying them that the Foundation has received their proposal. We will request further information if needed. Applicants will be informed of the Board’s decision two weeks after the Board meeting.

The Foundation does not consider requests in the following categories:

Scholarship funds
Scholarly research
Individuals
Government programs
Capital projects/endowments
Groups outside the United States
